Three Bulgarian Poetesses and their relationship to Germany and Austria: Mara Belčeva, Elisaveta Bagrjana and Vesela Vasileva
Abstract
This contribution is about three Bulgarian poetesses – Mara Belčeva, Elisaveta Bagrjana and Vesela Vasileva. It marks some moments of their lives and creative lyrical paths as connected with Germany or Austria. Their impressions of people, culture, and the nature of those two German-speaking countries resonate in their verse, and impacted their creative development.
